If you are planning to install air conditioning in your van in a similar way to what I did – and you are using a standard oem ac compressor – you will need these adapters unless you buy a compressor with o-ring connections.
OEM compressors use a connection type called PAD. Therefor you will need adapters like these from T7 Design to connect aftermarket o-ring type connectors to the back of your compressor in order to use the aftermarket o-ring style connectors used in my ac van build series.
