Who doesn’t need more storage space in their camper van or want a custom head lining?
I found some room to cram in a pretty unique storage area in our VW T4 Transporter roof, as well as re-cover the old grey head lining with something much more appealing and hard-wearing.
Inspired by tactical gear setups from overlanding and army gear, I crafted a unique roof storage area using a little creative thinking and use of Molle/PALS tactical gear.
Now our maps, sunglasses, binoculars, camera and various cables have a nice neat place to live all within easy reach of driver & passenger when we need them.
I also removed the old saggy, stained grey fabric material from the head lining in the cab area, and replaced it with some automotive patterned vinyl that matched the panels in the habitation area of the van. The whole project tied the front cabin and habitation area together so nicely. Stoked!
